What to look for in the vehicle

The authorisation and the driver pass. If they are not there, neither is your insurance.

How we work

Licensed, and priced before you travel

Remunerated passenger transport in Flanders requires a municipal authorisation and a driver pass under the 2020 decree, and both must be displayed in the vehicle. That is not administrative decoration: a car carrying paying passengers without them is operating outside the rules, and its insurance will not respond for a passenger in an accident.

The second thing worth insisting on is the fare. A price agreed before the journey, with no undisclosed supplement, removes the only genuinely unpleasant part of taking a taxi — the uncertainty about what the number at the end will be. It also means the driver has no reason to take the longer route.

And for a flight, honesty about time beats optimism. Traffic and roadworks are unpredictable, so the right approach is to plan backwards from check-in with a margin rather than shave the pick-up to the minute. Nobody remembers the twenty minutes saved; everybody remembers the flight missed.
